Latest US Allegations: “Iranophobia” to Divide ME states

Ali Larijani, Iran's Parliament Speaker says that "Israel" and the US aim at spreading Iranophobia in the region, in order to create division in the Middle East.

During a visit to Kuwait, Larijani said that it is necessary to recognize that, by the US and "Israel" creating a sense of fear towards Iran, they seek to expand their military bases in the region.

As he talked about the enemy's effort to provoke sectarian quarrels between the Shia and Sunni Muslims in the region, Larijani said that "tracks of Zionist and American intelligence agencies can be traced".

The Iranian Speaker spoke after remarks said by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who earlier spoke about the West seeking to dominate the Middle East under the excuse of creating democracy.

As quoted, the Iranian President said:"The West are occupying Iraq and Afghanistan and interfering in Pakistan and Yemen under the pretext of establishing democracy". He further affirmed that Tehran will not let the Western dream of dominating the region to occur.
