Moussawi Meets Williams: The Enemy΄s Repeated Violations of the Lebanese Sovereignty Condemned
Local Editor, 04-02-2010
Hizbullah International Relations Official Ammar Moussawi received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Lebanon Michael Williams. The two sides denounced the repeated Zionist violations of the Lebanese sovereignty, particularly the abduction of Rabih Zahra.
Williams described the meeting as being very good, and wished to shrink the Zionist violations of the Lebanese sovereignty, adding that such actions do not help maintain security at the Blue Line.
Williams continued, "I do not want to see any armed conflict. It is certain that there are problems, particularly in terms of "Israeli" air violations of the Lebanese airspace, as well as the young man who was kidnapped and released after 12 hours." He also said that both sides do not want to see such incidents happening again.
Williams expressed the positive reception of the UNIFIL after receiving the gratitude of the Secretary General of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, for their efforts in helping to search for the bodies of the victims of the Ethiopian airplane crash. Besides, he said that they want to cooperate with the people every day and not only in the crises. Williams also gave his condolences to Hizbullah for the victims of the plane.
For his part, Moussawi considered this meeting as an opportunity to shed light on the Zionist violations, especially the abduction of the boy Rabih Zahra where we stood before this incident which constitutes a flagrant violation of the Lebanese sovereignty.
Moussawi continued, "We confirmed the need to condemn these attacks and the message issued by the United Nations should be strong. I raised with Mr. Williams that if the kidnapped was an "Israeli" there would have been a different reaction from "Israel" and the international community."
As for the ongoing enemy threats, Moussawi considered it as not being new and it confirms that the Zionist enemy can not live without the tense climate. Moussawi said that the resistance is set and ready, but in the political point of view, it seems that these threats are messages with multiple trends and are not necessarily a prelude to a military aggression.
Moussawi confirmed that the course of the relationship with the UN forces is moving in a positive direction pointing out to the importance of working on forming helping impressions. However, this depends on the field performance of these forces which would cause security in the hearts of the citizens.
