Hizbullah Delegation Met with the Head of French Senate Larcher

A Hizbullah delegation included International Relations Official Sayyed Ammar Moussawi, and MPs, Dr. Ali Fayyad and the lawyer Nawwar Saheli met with the Head of French Senate, Mr. Gérard Larcher at the French Embassy in Beirut. Attended the meeting were the parliamentary delegation accompanying Mr. Larcher in addition to a number of officials from the French Embassy.

The meeting was an opportunity to tackle many issues, where Hizbullah delegation stressed that "Israel's" policy of escalation is the reason behind all the tensions and concerns in the region, and that Lebanon is sticking to his right to have the power to deter any possible "Israeli" aggression. The delegation also called France to work with the international community in order to curb "Israel's" hostilities via exposing firm positions towards it.

Additionally, it emphasized that the resistance was always in a position to defend Lebanon and its people. Besides, any tendency to blame it for tension and escalation is an attempt to reverse the obvious and apparent facts.

The delegation stressed that Hizbullah adheres to make Lebanon's national unity government a success, saying that there is an opportunity for the Lebanese people, through cooperation and dialogue to move forward in addressing their problems and build up their own state.

Hizbullah delegation praised France's permanent observation to play a role in helping Lebanon's people and its institutions. However, it also presents Hizbullah's viewpoint concerning the reformatory issues in the political and economic domains, stressing the need for securing the climates of cooperation and understanding during the discussion of these issues.
