Moussawi Calls for Military Cooperation Between Lebanon, Syria & Iran
Local Editor, 20-02-2010
Commenting on the latest Hizbullah's Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah speech, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf Moussawi said: "H. E. announced the opening of a new era in the conflict with ""Israel"" in which there will be no longer any "Israeli" official, be it senior or not, dares to fire threats in vain".
Moussawi also stressed: "Nasrallah's speech is the result of efforts over the past undeclared hours as of 14 August 2006 till February 16, 2010 during which there are tens of thousands of Mujahideen who intensified the level of resistance to the extent that "Israel" would not dare to take a quick decision to engage in war or suicide adventure only if it reached to the stage of madness and decided to commit suicide."
MP called for the Lebanese army's capabilities to be strengthened through military cooperation with Syria and Iran. "Neither the US nor the European countries can grant the army the aid that would allow it to stand in the face of "Israel"," Moussawi said.
He also praised the Lebanese judicial system following Friday's Military Court verdict that sentenced to death Mahmoud Rafeh- an "Israeli" spy-and Hussein Khattab-a Palestinian from the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp-for the 2006 murder of high-ranking Islamic Jihad Movement officials Mahmoud and Nidal Majzoub in Saida.
Besides, Moussawi called on the state to speed up the rest of the trials of the defendants accused of cooperating with "Israel". The Lebanese state should create opportunities for Lebanese emigrants to invest in the country, he said.
Moussawi added that Middle East Airlines should establish direct flights to West African countries, referring to the large Lebanese emigrant population in the region.
