"There is no need to isolate Christians of the March 14 alliance, because they are isolating themselves on their own," Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said in interviews with Magazine and Al-Usbou al-Arabi to be published on Friday. However, he did not elaborate further.

He touched on "Israel's" recurrent threats, saying Hizbullah is in a state of readiness, and that it has the capacity to severely harm the Zionist State.

""Israeli" threats will not change our conviction to free our land and end aggression," he added.
H. E. commented on Top Hamas official Mahmoud Mabhouh's assassination in Dubai last month, saying the "Israel's" Mossad was behind the murder. "Hizbullah awaits Europe's response to the cowardly act."

He also said his party does not mind postponing the June municipal elections, given that "Hizbullah's areas of influence cannot be shaken."

Sheikh Qassem also spoke about the relationship between Hizbullah and the Progressive Socialist Party, saying it is improving. Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah played an important role in the reconciliation between the Syrian leadership and PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt, H. E. added.
