Repercussions of the Ouyoun Orghosh incident are still ongoing and the war of words continues back and forth between the Security Sources and The Lebanese Forces, who were caught red-handed when the Lebanese army stormed the area of AL Mazareh, a nearby village, and found a weapons depot which also contained hashish estimated to be more than 1,000 kilograms.

The Lebanese army had burst into the area on after a family, Karkab which hails from Baalbeck , came under gunfire and rocket attacks while it was having lunch in Ouyoun Orghosh.

The army had also arrested four people from Tawk family, and according to press reports, two of these arrested has admitted being members of the Lebanese Forces.

In a statement to Intiqad.net, well-informed Security sources said what the Lebanese Army did in Ouyoun Orghosh comes under the context of executing its duty and task of defending citizens, since the incident place was an infringement to people's rights.

In addition, the sources stated that firing at citizens could have led to incitement and disorder, highlighting that the statement issued earlier by the Lebanese Forces in which it said the attackers were guards protecting the territories is false.

The sources added that weapons used (such as RPG rockets) cannot be used for guarding. It also said that the quantities of weapon and drugs imply these are not for personal use and that the land is non -cultivated and is abandoned and resident-free.

The source finally said that those who want to guard a territory or place can resort to using personal licensed weapons rather than heavy arms, concluding its statement to Intiqad.net with a series of questions such as: why did they (LF) fire their guns at the citizens? Does such an action imply they aim at evacuating the village from its people and setting up a center for them?

Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Forces on its part denied it had any link with the attack in Ouyoun Orghosh, vowing legal action against media outlets for allegedly reporting false information.

Hizbullah officials had called on the judiciary to continue investigations until uncovering the truth and punishing those who sought to cause chaos and tensions between the region's people.
