Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt told As-Safir newspaper on Saturday that he discussed several delicate issues with Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah during their meeting on Thursday, and that he does not want to disclose the details to the media.

Jumblatt did say, however, that his talks with Nasrallah are aimed at protecting the Resistance and the Taif Accord. He described their meeting as a general coordination between the PSP and Hizbullah.

"The Taif Accord, which some seem to have forgotten, determined Lebanon's enemies and friends," Jumblatt said.

Earlier, in an interview published in As-Safir's Friday edition, Jumblatt said that during the upcoming period he will focus on the importance of eliminating discussions over the arms of the Resistance.

He criticized recurring debates on the issue, adding he will clearly state his opinion during the national dialogue's session on April 15.

Jumblatt called for reinforcing coordination between the Lebanese army and the Resistance and for strengthening the state to confront any "Israeli" aggression, before launching discussions on Hizbullah's arms.

He also commented on his relationship with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, saying it will gradually improve.
