Hizbullah Possessing Scud Missiles Has Great Indications

"Israeli" National Radio interviewed, Benny Begin, an "Israeli" Minister without Portfolio, over what the Kuwaiti Al Rai newspaper published concerning Scud Missiles purchased by Hizbullah. The interview was as follows:

Anchor: Could you say then that "Israel" was to attack Syria for smuggling Scud missiles to Hizbullah, and that only Americans stopped it from doing so?

Benny Begin: I do not think the way you put it is accurate. I do not know of specific operational plans, and of course, it is not possible to talk about it live on radio.

Anchor: Although you did not directly answer my question, but I want to ask: what difference does it make if Hizbullah purchases Scud missiles, there are other missiles that could cover all of "Israel", what difference does the Scud purchasing make?

Benny Begin: Hizbullah did not have any Scud missiles, of course, the range of these missiles has an indication, and yet we have a response to every threat. Details are less important, details on whether the missiles were Scud or other, or others concerning the amount or quality of the missiles. All missiles are constantly flowing into Lebanon, and thus become in the hands of Hizbullah. The easy way in is a joint venture between Iran and Syria, in order to transport those weapons, which part of it is of an Iranian Production, and some Syrian.

Anker: What does "Israel" do in order to prevent the delivery of such weapons?
Benny Begin: I do not think I am able to answer easily and briefly in the little time we have, bur before everything I think we should warn of this phenomenon, especially that Syria is benefiting from the whole world, and is receiving positive attention. It is sarcastic how our friends refer that Syria helped out in Lebanon's stability after the elections, where in fact Syria controls Lebanon.

Anker: So you are saying that the US helped us in its way to prevent the transportation of the Scud of revealing such threat.

Benny Begin: Not as far as I am concerned, for I heard there were requests and condemnations regarding this subject, but of course for many reasons, world countries, including the US, have plans to strengthen their relationship with Syria. There are no positive signals that Syria supplies Hizbullah with arms and political support. It also supplies Hamas, tens of Kilometers away from Ashkelon, and supports those who plan anti-"Israeli" operations in Damascus.

Anchor: If "Israel" knew about information over transporting armaments which threat "Israel", would "Israel" have to do anything.
Benny Begin: I suggest such discussions to be kept for governmental discussions with Minister of War and Prime Minister, and I apologize for not answering your question.
