Dialogue Talks Resume in Baabda

A new national dialogue session was held at Baabda palace on Thursday headed by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman. The session was held to follow up on discussions of the National Defense Strategy.

The session resumed half an hour after a meeting took place between Lebanese president Suleiman and Parliament speaker Nabih Berri.

Suleiman lately announced more support for Hizbullah and the need to protect the resistance, while Aoun threatened to withdraw from dialogue if information on discussions about the party's arms was leaked to the press and finally Jumblatt called for the removal of the weapons from the dialogue agenda.

According to sources in Baabda Presidential Palace, President Michel Suleiman will discuss the issues that were brought up lately, and will focus on development, economy, military and the defense strategy.
