MP Qassem Hashem: Our People can Achieve Miracles if it Depends on its Resistance and Army

Member of the Development and Liberation parliamentary Bloc MP Qassem Hashem declared that the only option to confront the Zionist entity is the resistance.

"As long as the Lebanese willpower exists, then all the land will be liberated," Hashem said to Al-Manar Channel.

The Amal Movement MP lead a gathering of Lebanese civilians at the village of Abbasiyeh who removed the barbed wire set up by the Zionist entity last week when a group of Zionist forces trespassed into Lebanese lands and fixed the wires in a bid to annex the land.

Hashem said that the Zionist aggression occurred under the nose of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon stationed at the borders, and that when the wire was removed, the residents of Abbasiyeh were told that they removed a wire which was a part of the Blue line, despite the fact that Abbasiyeh shares no borders with Occupied Palestine.

"Since when did the enemy abide to International Law??!" Qassem asked.

Qassem stressed that the land, be it here or there, is occupied, and that United Nations and the UNIFIL ought to realize that, particularly since there was an agreement not to change the borders of Abbasiyeh since the year 2000.

Hashem declared that it has become a norm that the international community and the United Nations are not to be depended on in these matters, namely because their role has been reduced to counting violations.

Hashem stressed that the incident revealed the authenticity of the national defense strategy which is based on the people, the army, and the resistance.

"Our people are capable of creating miracles based on the resistance and the Army which holds national beliefs," Hashem said.
