Hariri: “Israel” Seeks to Justify New War on Lebanon
Local Editor
Lebanese PM says "Israel" possesses nuclear weapons, wants to launch war when it wishes.
""Israel" is seeking to justify a new war on Lebanon by alleging that Hizbullah has obtained Scud missiles," Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said in remarks to Al Watan newspaper.
"We reject the allegations, "Israel" is trying to justify a war against Lebanon that it could launch whenever it desires," Hariri added.
Noting that "Israel possesses nuclear weapons," he asked, "Where is the proof that Hizbullah has these missiles?"
The Lebanese PM also refused "to ask Hezbollah to deny the possession of such weapons," saying, "Why put ourselves in the position of being accused, and why give "Israel" the right to make such accusations?"
