Larsen's report and its objectives:

The International Relations official in Hizbullah Sayyed Ammar Moussawi considered that through Larsen's report the United States pursues a policy of blockade and repression against all forms of resistance, working on eliminating its legitimacy by claiming, on the one hand, that it contravenes with what they call international laws, and on the other, of being a threat to their societies, explaining that "A distribution of roles is taking place to weave the reports in the interest of the enemy entity."

Moussawi notes that the Supervisor of UNSCR 1559, Terje Roed-Larsen is close to the Zionist entity, who describes the Security Council and the United Nations as tools and platforms for U.S. policy, therefore, we are not surprised if the reports or conclusions of discussions of Resolution 1559 or 1701 are consistent with U.S. and ‘Israeli' views."

He indicates that there is a difference between the facts or reports transmitted by the UN Secretary-General representative for Lebanon, Michael Williams, and political readings of these reports that take place in New York. He explains that "Hizbullah did not have a great deal of comments on the UN Secretary-General representative Michael Williams' performance, who has a certain amount of professionalism to his work, but the problem lies in the American political reading that is biased to the Zionist side of the facts on the ground and these reports."

As for the reasons behind clinging to the Larsen report on Resolution 1559, Moussawi explains "The report poses a certain kind of American tutelage over the political situation in Lebanon," adding "We have demanded for its annulment, as it has no function other than to impose this tutelage by indicating that Lebanon is a country unable to manage its own affairs and that therefore its existence is required under international trusteeship." Moussawi adds that "All we have to do is deal with this report as non-existent and of as no value."

Impact of the Larsen report:

Moussawi suggested that the impact of this report forms a general impression or view on the subject of rejecting the resistance and the non-legitimacy of its weapons, pointing out that the primary objective of the report is:

1 - Disarm Lebanon's ability to resist.
2 - Comfort the enemy entity and help it in besieging resistance movements, especially after the Gaza and July 2006 wars, when the enemy lost its regional military supremacy after having monopolized it for 50 years, and become unable to reach its goals through war or threats of war.

Moussawi suggests that the insistence by some in the Lebanese interior on repeating the old scenario of "Fear of resistance arms" or that "the Lebanese are split over the presence of arms", falls in harmony with U.S. and Zionist demands,

Scud Missiles:

Moussawi considered that bringing the issue of scud missiles up comes within the framework of blockading the resistance powers on one hand and the withstanding countries on the other because they stand in the face of American and "Israeli threats and projects.
"All that is being said is intimidation. America is following the carrot and the stick policy with Syria, telling it that it wants to open up [to Syria] but with conditions; meanwhile, Syria answers by saying ‘if you want openness, so be it, but no one lays their terms on us,'" Moussawi added.
The War on Iran:

Moussawi confirmed that "Israel", "is incapable of waging war against Iran. But if it happens, then it is the United States which will lead the war while "Israel" may participate."

Moussawi stressed that any regional war would only come via an American decision.

Moussawi believed that the States is no longer in a position leading the world, since many countries have not accepted imposing sanctions such as Turkey, Brazil, China, and even Russia.

The Hizbullah official stressed that:

- Iran is not an isolated country, but has wide international ties of friendship
- The presence of international wariness from the tensions created by the States in many countries needlessly, such as Iraq and Afghanistan
- American can no longer afford the volume of its foreign interventions and the cost of wars it starts, as the number of land and naval bases is in the thousands and costs a trillion dollars a year, in addition to the two Iraq wars and the Afghanistan war"

"Israeli" war on Lebanon

Moussawi ruled out the imminent possibility of and "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon despite the resistance's readiness for any possible attack, adding, ""Israel" is not ready for war despite the excuses it can provide for one at any time."

"The maid deterrent is the firm belief of the enemy's leaders that any upcoming war on Lebanon will not have guaranteed results, particularly after the July 2006 war and the Gaza war," Moussawi stressed.

The Hizbullah MP said that the enemy's entity, "is faced with two options: to regain a deterring force via a military campaign against Lebanon, or to accumulate its deterrence capabilities."

The upcoming stage, according to Moussawi, will consist of "low-tension wars". Moussawi believed that in any upcoming war, "Israel" will aim to change the strategic atmosphere in the region which it currently views as not in its favor, especially after the tri-summit in Damascus which brought together the resistance trio, Assad, Nejad, and Nasrallah."

UNIFIL in Lebanon

In a response to the declaration of the Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi's announcement in which he declared that Italy prides itself in its strong friendship with "Israel" and that the UNIFIL forces present in South Lebanon are there to keep an eye on Hizbullah, Moussawi confirmed, "In case this surveillance is aimed at spying on Hizbullah, Hizbullah's International Relations has informed Michael Williams that the worst role the UNIFIL forces could play is in espionage activities which wrongs the message it was mandated to bring forth."

"We are currently awaiting a clarification of this statement," he added.

International Relations Between Hizbullah and European Countries

Hizbullah's international Relations Officer noted that communication was positive with various European countries and explained that relations with Britain are not completely cut off due to the British interest in knowing Hizbullah's opinion in many matters, and that the relationship with France isn't so bad either despite some French statements.

But the overall European policy, according to Moussawi, is "affected by the "Israeli" position despite the presence of a public European movement in opposition of the Zionist policies, differing from the positions."

Moussawi stressed that if the Zionist issue was put aside, there were no existing diagreemnets between European countries and Hizbullah.

Moussawi lauded the Turkish Government's stances and the positions of its Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The Turkish example is crucial in light of Arab governments which have no value, no weight, and no effect on the international political arena," Moussawi said.
