Youth and Sports Minister, Ali Abdullah, criticized envoy Terje Roed-Larsen's statements that stated that "Lebanon has not implemented UN resolution 1559, thus threatening the Middle East and dragging the danger of war on Lebanon", additional to the usual symphony Larsen mastered playing to the ‘Israeli' beat of statements and threats aimed at disarming the resistance."

During his patronage of a "Power-Walking Marathon" organized by Basha'er High School, Abdullah stressed that "Lebanon is no longer interested in UNR 1559, with nothing remaining that requires implementation by us," at the same time indicating that "The one breaching UN resolutions and threatening Middle East peace is the Zionist entity."

Minister Abdullah said "The authority of the Lebanese Government is without a doubt spread throughout the country. As for Lebanon's independence and unity, they are in existence, something that was previously considered questionable by the Security Council due to the presence of the brotherly Syrian army, a presence no longer in existence. Meanwhile the Zionist enemy violates this sovereignty everyday by continuing its occupation of our Shibaa Farms and Kfar Shouba Hills and its daily air breaches of our sovereign skies."

Abdullah pointed out "The only foreign forces remaining on Lebanese soil are the UNIFIL according to an international resolution and Lebanese approval, and the Zionist entity, which occupies a part of the Lebanese territory."

Minister Abdullah stressed that "Lebanese Militias that are not disarmed, no longer exist in Lebanon."
