Dr. Rahal: Scud claims Prove the Cost of Resistance is less than that of Negotiations
The Electronic Media official in Hizbullah, Dr. Hussein Rahal, affirmed saying that one of the goals behind launching the allegation of the transfer of Scud missiles from Syria to Hizbullah, was to be used by the U.S. as a pretext to renew its sanctions on Syria.
In an interview with ANB Channel yesterday, Rahal saw that "The Zionist campaign against the resistance arms is not surprising because, because it is this weapon that lead to ‘Israel's expulsion out of Lebanon, yet what is surprising, is the adoption by certain parties' of this Zionist logic inside Lebanon!"
Dr. Rahal ruled out any enemy aggression in the near future on Lebanon, stressing that this due to fears of another defeat. He asserted that "The American project in the region is in a steady decline as a result of the steadfastness of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, the invincibility of Syria and Iran, and the exhaustion suffered by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Dr. Rahal criticized the Arab regimes in collusion with the enemy and engaged in no-ceiling-negotiations, as this encourages the enemy to initiate a gradual transfer of the Palestinians in the West Bank. He confirmed that "Where there is resistance there are no settlements as in the cases of Lebanon and Gaza. On the other hand settlements are expanding in the West Bank where the resistance is besieged," adding that "he cost of resistance is far less than the cost of negotiations. "
Dr. Rahal said: "We do not give the enemy free information on our weapons. As a people, we are subjected to an ongoing aggression and therefore, have the right to defend our community and people." Continuing that, "The enemy is increasing its attacks, which include the siege of Gaza, Judaizing al-Quds (Jerusalem), seizure of Palestinian land in the West Bank, the occupation of the (Lebanese) Shibaa Farms and the (Syrian) Golan Heights. The Zionists want world focus deflected away from this ugly face of the enemy's, through these Scud allegations and also by seeking to foment civil strife in Lebanon by spurring certain sides that do not want Lebanon's interest."
He said "After the U.S. renewed its sanctions on Syria the Scuds issue clearly emerged as a fabrication intended to create an argument for extending these sanctions."
Rahal added "I would not be surprised if the enemy holds spite against the resistance arms, responsible for expelling it from Lebanon, but to release this spite into Lebanon is a surprising element. Anyone adopting the ‘Israeli' position of wanting to plunge the resistance arms subject with regional issues, to support an ongoing argument against Iran, would be condemned. What we want is the liberation of Lebanese territory. No Syrian or Iranian forces came to liberate the land on behalf of the Lebanese, and yes, the resistance did receive support, the peoples of the entire region stood by Lebanon in its resistance to liberate the land."
On diverting the Scud missiles into a pretext for aggression on Lebanon, Dr. Rahal said "The Americans and ‘Israelis' invented the subject, and the solution with the enemy remains the same as that of the last 22-years of conflict-the acquisition of the means of force and arms in the face of aggression. Weapons are what make ‘Israel' think a thousand times before attacking Lebanon. As for the U.S., which also committed massacres in Iraq and Afghanistan, nothing works with it but resistance."
About the relationship with the U.S. administration, he said "This administration adopts ‘Israel's' security and covers its aggressions that took place against our children. Our people were martyred and wounded by cluster bombs the Americans provided this Zionist entity with. The American population is a victim of U.S. foreign policy and the Zionist lobby."
Regarding Syria's openness to the United States, he said "We are a resistance party and therefore, we cannot give the same openness. We did not ask the Lebanese state to sever relations with the U.S., but as a party, we have the right to put a veto on meetings with any American officials." He said "We have no animosity towards the American people, and whether or not we communicate with any institution outside the administration, according to our interests, remains an objective matter."
On the summit in Damascus "it was normal" he said. "The question that remains to be asked is whether those who met in Damascus were enemies or friends! In one aspect, this meeting was a response to the claimed departure between Syria and Iran and a response to the Americans and the Zionists."
With regards to the so-called moderate states Dr. Rahal said "It is no secret that the U.S. called on Gulf States to arm themselves against Iran, telling them that Iran is the danger to Arabs and not ‘Israel', when Iran supports the Palestinian cause and Arab regimes collude with the enemy."
He said "The U.S. seeks to sow dissent and division in the region, the real regional threat is ‘Israel' and America, and no other regional party."
He explained that "The American project in Iraq came to change regimes, and encircle Iran and Syria. The steadfastness of these two countries foiled the American project." He pointed out "That the U.S. project has not ended yet but is in a state of freeze" adding that "Exhausting the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan, coupled with the economic crisis made the U.S. project go into recoil in the region."
With regards to the coming scenario, he said "There are more U.S. failures if the state of invincibility continues among the peoples of our nation."
Dr Rahal called on the Arabs not to rely on the U.S. but to uphold an Arab project for the liberation of Palestine and for reclaiming the rights. Such a project does not have any interests vested in any negotiations." Stressing "Where there is resistance there are no settlements. This is what happened in Lebanon and Gaza. The price of resistance is far less than the price of negotiations and ‘Israel' is in a state retreat. Settlements happen where there is no resistance, like what is happening in the West Bank."
The Hizbullah Electronic Media Unit official indicated that "‘Israel' began waves of the transfer of West Bank Palestinians. He stressed on "Adherence to the elements of strength to foil these schemes, while collusion by some Arab regimes with the enemy helps the coming transfer."
Regarding forecasts of the deportation of Palestinians to Lebanon, he said "The ‘Israeli' consciousness was cauterized by their losses in Lebanon... they will think a thousand times before launching any attack on Lebanon again, because Lebanon is strong by its army, people and resistance." He continued saying "We have acquired a strong immunity in Lebanon, and the stronger we are militarily, the further away the Palestinians displacement issue becomes."
He said "‘Israel' wants to embroil the United States in the war because it cannot win the regional war alone." He concluded saying that "Objective circumstances indicate ‘Israel's' inability of waging a war at this stage, even if the probabilities of its gamble on one remain high."
