Moussawi: Making Lebanon Susceptible to U.S. Control is the Danger

Commenting on what some consider that Hizbullah and its weapons are a threat to Lebanon, member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Hussein Moussawi stressed that "Making Lebanon's security-as state and institutions- blatantly susceptible before a U.S. strategy aimed at placing Lebanon firmly in American hands, is the danger to Lebanon, aided by daily ‘Israeli' threats of destruction and war."

The ensuing speedy justification of the U.S.-Lebanon security agreement by some of America's allies indicates that those who facilitate Lebanon's violation by the Americans, render their country vulnerable to huge risks and challenges, and topple the slogans they claim to hold of sovereignty, freedom and independence, Moussawi stressed.

Moussawi demanded those who say "Thank you America" that this is shameful, as their words insult the dignity of the state and every Lebanese citizen, considering Washington depends and gambles on the Lebanese political divide that facilitates the penetration of the Lebanese political and social environment, under several headings and interfaces.

MP Moussawi considers any negligence by the Lebanese security, facilitates "Israelis" acts of aggression against Lebanon.

Moussawi confirmed that "America is the first side to encourage an ‘Israeli' military assault on Lebanon, as it considers its security a part of ‘Israel's' and ‘Israel's' security a red line", and he asks holders of the "sovereignty, freedom and independence" slogan: Do you not consider this threat an existing danger to Lebanon?

The Hizbullah MP also called on them to have some national watchfulness and to run a conscience-check on all their own political conduct, performance and stances.
