Lebanese foreign Minister Ali Al Shami declared that Lebanon presented a draft law to the Security Council condemning the Zionist Enemy's attack on the Gaza Aid convoy that was heading to the Gaza Strip in order to deliver aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Al Shami highlighted that communications and coordination are ongoing with Turkey and other Arab countries in order to take action on this matter.

Al Shami also stated the Lebanese Government will issue a statement in which it will condemn the Zionist crime and demand compensation for the Lebanese civilians aboard.

Earlier on Monday, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri described the "Israeli" attack on the Gaza aid flotilla as a "terrorist piracy" and asked Foreign Minister Ali Al Shami for Lebanese action against the "brutal assault" as Lebanon currently holds the rotating presidency of the U.N. Security Council. Berri also told Al Shami that Lebanon's ambassador Nawaf Salam should call for the Council to convene immediately.
