Rock Band Performs in Lebanon, Right after Performing in Tel Aviv!

The rock band PLACEBO who performed in Tel Aviv on June 5th 2010 will perform after couple of days in Lebanon on June 9th 2010.

Different activists are calling for the boycott of the concert. 

According to activists, the goal is to de-legitimize the state of "Israel", which is an enemy state to both Palestine and Lebanon. And boycott should not only be in form of economic boycott on a personal or industry level of companies that are "Israeli" or that invest in "Israel". 

PLACEBO's performance in "Israel" comes right after the bloody raid of the "Israeli" army on the Gaza Aid Fleet that was attacked in international waters.

Various artists have recently come under heavy pressure from activists to boycott "Israel" because of its treatment of the Palestinians. Elvis Costello recently canceled a planned concert to protest "Israeli" policies.

Others, such as Elton John and Rod Stewart, are still planning to play "Israel" this summer.
