Loyalty to the resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said that, "the Lebanese country failed in taking a strong position among states by abstaining from voting on the sanctions against Iran decision."

In an interview with Lebanese LBC TV channel, Fadlallah indicated that what happened revealed the incapability of our country before the Security Council.

He said, "It would have been better if we weren't present in the Security Council because our presence is meaningless with the position our country took."

The government should have revealed its decision of rejecting the sanctions, especially that the US and "Israel" are the ones proposing it, "the vote against imposing sanctions is a vote against "Israel" in the Security Council," Fadlallah stated.

"We will vote for any Arab country subject to Security Council sanctions by the US and "Israel", he assured, considering that Iran is paying the price of its stances towards our causes, and on the other hand, we are renouncing it.

Fadlallah said that when the government takes no stance in a cause as clear as that, this does not affect the side that took this stance, but it affects its government's image.

Stressing on the importance of activating the Lebanese government's role and cooperation among members, Fadlallah indicated that the country should be more self-confident in order to reform its international image.

Fadlallah assured that Hizbullah's stance during the meeting between Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Prime Minister Saad Hariri was against the sanctions, adding that, "if we want to be independent from regional policies, we should have taken Brazil and Turkey's stances as they both do not have foreign political commitments.

Reassuring on the people, army, and resistance equation, Fadlallah stressed that Hizbullah grows stronger after each war.
