When "Israel" falls in an international diplomatic crisis, the French friend is always ready to alleviate its burden and bring it out of isolation, through pro-"Israeli" stands on one hand and through welcoming "Israeli" officials in pressing International times on the other, as was the case when former "Israeli" Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was received in Paris two days after the start of the war on Gaza.

In a step similar in timing and circumstances, President Nicolas Sarkozy received the "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Paris, only days after the Freedom Flotilla massacre in the Mediterranean Sea, which claimed the lives of nine martyrs, mostly Turks.

According to a French political analyst, "Israelis" take interest in being received by French officials in France after each crisis. This is the political support "Israel" seeks despite paraded statements by the Foreign Minister Bernard Kushner that call for breaking the siege on Gaza.

In this context, French decision-making circles remain wary of a sudden outbreak of war between Hizbullah and "Israel", expressing their continued concern for their soldiers operating in southern Lebanon within the international forces. The French President informed Netanyahu during their meeting at the Elysee Palace about his fears of a sudden war in southern Lebanon, which leaves the French troops at risk.

Sarkozy also warned his guest Netanyahu of placing his own country's troops at risk, indicating that "The internal situation in France is difficult and sensitive." Sarkozy was also notified by Netanyahu that "No imminent war will take place in the region."

On the subject of war, the French sources expressed lack of confidence in "Israel" and its promises, pointing out that past experience with "Israeli" officials do not give confidence or trust in them or their promises, hence the French forces prepared a protection plan in the event of surprise war.

According to the same sources, signs of a war in the region can be observed through movements the international forces may carry out in southern Lebanon, which may come in several ways, including:
A - Sudden withdrawal of French troops operating in southern Lebanon
B - A quick repositioning of the international forces in southern Lebanon in certain areas to avoid war.
C - A sudden and incomprehensible reduction to the number of international forces operating in southern Lebanon
