The Lebanese and Egyptian Prime Ministers condemned the "Israeli" threats against Beirut.

This came after "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak threatened the Lebanese government against allowing "Mariam" the aid ship departing from Lebanon to Gaza Strip with female Lebanese activists on board.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Nazif said this threat "might have dire consequences" for Tel Aviv.

Hariri noted that the "Israeli" government continues to threaten Lebanon while there are fleets coming from Europe.

He wondered, "Will "Israel" attack Europe or other countries sending aid to Gaza?"

"Enough lies ... "Israel's" actions are not humanitarian and rejected by all human rights treaties," AFP quoted the Lebanese prime minister as saying.

For his behalf, Egyptian PM Nazif warned "Israel" against consequences of a similar assault on the women activists' aid ship.

The Egyptian premier said that an "Israeli" attack on the ship "might have dire consequences as we saw with the Turkish Freedom flotilla."

"The region is facing a crossroad between the will for peace, which all Arab states voice and the international community supports, and "Israel's" reluctance and intransigence," Nazif added.

On the other hand, the meeting covered bilateral relations between the two countries, where they signed 18 agreements in the sects of economy, trade, transports, environment, youth, sports, and society.

Nazif is in a two-day visit to Lebanon, where he will hold talks with President Michel Suleiman and Parliament speaker Nabih Berri on Friday.
