Jumblatt: Neutrality is Useless, Resistance Arms Are Essential in Defending Lebanese Natural Resources

Head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt assured during the luncheon in honor of the Syrian ambassador in Lebanon that neutrality is impossible, and that the resistance arms is essential in defending oil in the Lebanese waters.

Jumblatt expressed his hope to build good relations with Syria, indicating that other slogans like calling for the neutrality of Lebanon are useless.

"I ask you to point out any neutral country in the world," Jumblatt said.

He referred to the Palestinian rights issue, saying he hoped it did not go into such a furious debate. Jumblatt also emphasized that we should help the Palestinians and work "to break the siege imposed on the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon".
