Moussawi: The President is the One Targeted through the Campaigns against Hizbullah

Member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf Moussawi has said, "The campaigns waged recently against Hizbullah and the resistance will not have any affect, not even minutely, on the resolve of our people, their determination to resist and their embrace and support for Hizbullah and Amal Movement."

In a speech in H'mayri town, Moussawi said "The real aim of these campaigns targeting Hizbullah in title is the President of the Republic", and added explaining, "What we heard about the resistance is fire aimed at the national dialogue committee and to lessen its significance, and this in itself is a loud objection to the equation of ‘army, people and resistance'."

"It's an attempt to restrict the president of the republic to stay away from the national principles under the pretext of impartiality, and an invitation to disrupt his national and constitutional position, because outside parties seem to want the Lebanese officials to act as their spokespeople in Lebanon," Moussawi said.

"These parties started shaking off the dust of their subjects and people and have begun placing them under the spotlight to spite the President of the Republic," he added.
