Moussawi: Possible Legal Action against Parties Funded by the US to Tarnish Hizbullah Image

Loyalty to the Resistance MP Nawwaf Moussawi told OTV on Monday evening that Hizbullah might bring a claim to the Lebanese judiciary "against anyone whom investigation shows to have taken funds from the US" in return for distorting Hizbullah's image.

Moussawi said that "money was spent through the United States Agency for [International] Development in order to distort Hizbullah's image, some funds were spent on the municipalities but large funds were spent on political parties, committees, and persons."

Moussawi considered this is total breaching of Lebanon's sovereignty and National Unity. "It is normal that there exist different points of view in Lebanon, but what is odd is the fact that political committees and persons -whose names are still unexposed to public opinion, receive sums of money that exceed 500 million dollars." He stated.
