Shami: Zionist Enemy Tries to Escape Its Isolation Using Threats against Lebanon and Palestine
Immigration and Foreign Affairs Minister arrived on Tuesday with a delegation to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the conference of cooperation between Arab states and the Pacific Islands.
Before taking off from the Lebanese airport, Ali Shami responded to Zionist threats against Lebanon saying, "Since we came into office, we've been proposing ideas to enhance the Lebanese role in the region on the economic, industrial, social, educational, and touristic level. However, we were continuously confronted with "Israeli" threats, violations, and disrespect to international legitimacy."
He clarified, "What happened on the Freedom Flotilla heading from Turkey to break the Gaza siege is the biggest prove on what I'm saying."
Shami indicated that, "Today, the enemy is isolated and pressured, and is trying to escape its isolation using threats against Palestinians and Lebanon."
Immigration and Foreign Affairs Minister called on the international community to put an end to these threats, and require the enemy to respect international legitimacy and apply international resolutions, especially the ones related to Lebanon and the Palestinians' rights.
