"We've shed light from parliament on the dangerous violation which the US administration committed with respect to Lebanese sovereignty and Lebanese national security and the dignity of the media profession and Lebanese national unity through what Feltman declared. This issue is a horrid scandal, and it cannot be faced with slighting or silence, namely because the tools used in disfigure Hizbullah's image are sectarian and denominational instigation," Moussawi told Assafir daily.

Moussawi stressed that Hizbullah is concerned with "confronting this cultural, security, media, and political threat" just as it is concerned with defending the country against any military aggression.

Moussawi considered it the parliament's duty to uphold its responsibilities in defending Lebanon in the first degree and Lebanon's natural right to defending its national unity, and its right to reach the truth without deception and its right to protect its social and political makeup, and to protect the media profession, and to prevent the use of the ‘aid' as tools for political influence."

Moussawi also stressed the role of the government in this sense, "especially in revealing the manner of receiving the money and how and where it was spent and through whom."
