Jumblatt to As-Safir: It Is Time To Strike With an Iron Fist, Time to Execute Spies

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper published on Tuesday, Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt called on authorities to confront "Israeli" agents planted in all parts of the country, and warned of a new wave of assassinations that would lead the country to a catastrophe.

"The "Israeli" agents' networks are planted everywhere. The country is exposed at the security
level," he said.
"It is time to strike with an iron fist all the way to the execution of spies," Jumblat warned. "Execution (of agents) is the best deterrent," he added.

Lebanese authorities have arrested about 120 people, including former senior army officers, suspected of collaborating with "Israel", according to As-Safir newspaper.

Jumblatt reiterated his support for Hezbollah, saying the Resistance is the strategic reserve force to defend Lebanon against a possible "Israeli" attack.
