The Iranian Embassy in Beirut, issues a statement, in which it urged the Lebanese government to adopt convenient steps in order to determine the fate of the four Iranian diplomats, previously kidnapped since the Lebanese 1975-1990 civil war.

"Twenty-eight years have passed since the four Iranian diplomats were kidnapped by elements linked to the Zionist entity. Iran's government and people are still waiting for their fate to be uncovered and for their release from the Zionist enemy's prisons", the statement read.

The four diplomats are, Ahmad Motevasselian, Seyyed Mohsen Mousavi, Taqi Rastegar-Moqaddam and Kazem Akhavan, who Iran commemorated the 28th anniversary of their abduction in Lebanon in the year 1982.

Various reports have been showing that the diplomats were either killed by the "Israeli" enemy at the time they were abducted, or according to Iranian governmental information sources, the diplomats are still alive yet detained in "Israeli" prisons.
