Jumblatt Calls for Implementation of 1701, Stresses on Army, People, Resistance Formula

Head of Democratic Gathering, MP Walid Jumblat, said that it would have been good if some special secretariats took part in demanding an implementation of resolution 1559, stressing on the army and western forces to seek ways.

In an statement, Jumblat added that those special secretariats only had to sent a letter to the UN demanding a change in the rules of engagement enrolled in resolution 1701, stressing that this resolution came as a result of the "Israeli" 2006 aggression on Lebanon, putting an end for Zionist attempt to destroy Lebanon and its resistance.

"I hope those special secretariats go back to talking over the public interest instead of the constant purchase of digging in the past and vandalizing the civil peace", Jumblatt said.

Jumblat referred to the constant ignorance of the "Israeli" daily violation of Lebanese land, coast, and airspace, and that "Israel" has aimed at new targets in Lebanon, stressing on the importance of hanging on the army, people, and resistance formula.

Jumblat questioned the Special Secretariat's comment over the "Israeli" Chief of Staff, Gabi Ashkinazi's statement, in which he said that the tension will reach Lebanon.
