As-Safir: Army Intelligence Arrest Alfa Espionage Agent # 2

The Lebanese As-Safir newspaper, mentioned Thursday that the Lebanese Army Intelligence was able to arrest a suspected "Israeli" espionage agent, of a high-ranked position in the Lebanese GSM network company, Alfa.

One agent at a time, this has become like a habit, or in other words, an event everyone is waiting for.

Well-informed security sources revealed to As-Safir that the suspect, Tarek Rabaa, who happens to be in his Forties, lives in the region of Aramoun, a telecommunication engineer who has been working for Alfa company since the year 1996, where he used to locate transmission stations.

Security sources did not assure that the newly arrested suspect's identity was revealed after investigations with Charbel Kazzi, first Alfa espionage agent, or not. In addition, army intelligence revealed that the arrest took place last Monday, and investigations were being conducted in complete secrecy.

In this context, sources informed As-Safir that investigations with Charbel Kazzi, led to his confession over his history of spying for the "Israeli" enemy, and letting them into supposed "confidential" details of his work. "Israelis" were able, with the help of Kazzi, to enter all Alfa sections, for he had access to each and every employee's account, including those of a higher position than him.

Talking about conspiracy, Charbel Kazzi was able to clear the way for the "Israeli" enemy on two levels, the first was the "Israeli" ability to control all cell phone lines and intelligence, whether through tracking cell phone owners or spying on them, where they also installed some signal pillars to help them in their goals.

The second level of access, which is the most dangerous, is the "Israelis" ability to access the network which enables them to destroy it by only sending a single virus, capable of vanquishing all the company's records and installations.

After it was assured that the violation caused by the treason of former-Alfa official, Charbel Kazzi, Lebanese officials, including Lebanese army intelligence leadership, Minister of Communication Charbel Nahhas, Head of Media and Communication Commission, MP Hassan Fadlallah, are conducting negotiations and appropriate measures in the investigations.

These violations have gone too far, and treason has become a dangerous and scary part of the Lebanese people's lives. Lebanon is in grave danger, intelligence and officials must take precautions regarding all employees, for Lebanon's stability is at stake. Yet with the "Israeli" insistence on violating Lebanon's sovereignty, more "Israeli" espionage agents are yet to come.
