“Espionage” Camp Alfa, “Israeli” Agent # 3

Again on Friday, Lebanon woke up to hear the news about the new espionage "Alfa" agent, a scandal that shocks civilians.

After Charbel Kazzi and Tarek Al Rabaa, As-Safir newspaper mentioned that the Lebanese army forces arrested a third espionage agent, where they took him for investigation.

This event resulted in an emergency situation within the communication sector, taking into action appropriate measures to fill all gaps, from which the "Israeli" Mosad was able to violate the GSM network's secrecy.

In this context, Minister of Telecommunication, Charbel Nahhas said to As-Safir, that many obligatory measures were adopted, including security and protective measures, where all passwords and access codes were changes, and all foreign communications were cut off.

Answering whether the Alfa GSM network was exposed to more breaches, Nahhas said that what they are doing is investigating whether there have been some alteration in the system, or if any viruses and devises were installed.

According to the Army Intelligence, Lebanese Telecommunication Minister expressed that what "Israeli" espionage agents, Charbel Kazzi and Tarek Al Rabaa did, locates us in front of the most dangerous "Israeli" espionage attempt.

Minister Nahhas also stressed that security, protective, and investigative measures are not only being conducted in Alfa, but also in MTC, which is the second GSM network company in Lebanon.

Minister Charbel Nahhas gave no further details, urging to let the investigations take part, in order to, hopefully, reveal the facts and truth.

A colony cannot be one unless more troops were recruited, in order to gather around each other and form a united gathering. In a small yet huge country like Lebanon, a single "Israeli" espionage agent would definitely need someone else on his side, so it would not only be his responsibility. The third spy was expected, and indeed, others are yet to come.
