Minister Hajj Hassan: Resistance is the Basis and Core of the Regional Equation

Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan stressed on Friday that "the Resistance is the basis and core of the regional equation and not just a simple dot in said formula."

"How can we explain the gigantic US attack on the Resistance?" he questioned, quoting herein America's Jeffery Feltman who said that more than 500 million US dollars have been spent to play down the popularity of the Resistance.

He asked those questioning Hizbullah's credibility to question instead Feltman's words.

"If ones doubting us are innocent, they should confront Feltman with the truth about his lies and those of his government, ambassador, and consecutive administrations, who all aim at fomenting strife in Lebanon," Hajj Hassan said.

He made clear that Hizbullah's reservation over the French treaty is due to the fact that there is a global, French, and US misconception of the word "terrorism".

"Both (US and France) have proved to be the most terrorist of countries, since their definition of terrorism mostly applies on them," Hassan exclaimed, calling for an apt definition for the term "resistance", since in his words Hizbullah and Hamas cannot be labeled as terrorists when a true definition for the term "Resistance" is acknowledged.

Winding up the speech he delivered marking the commemoration of Resistance martyrs which was held by the "Teachers gathering of Lebanon" at Mustapha School Hall of Nabatiyeh South Lebanon, the Minister highly criticized the International community which has ever spoken about human rights, but has failed to find a solution to the Palestinian cause after 62 years.

"Hizbullah is convinced that "Israel" and the Western world, shall never give us a tidbit of our rights. The impotent Arab regime will never be able to grab any Arab rights. The sole solution capable of achieving Arab privileges is the choice of the Resistance and weapons," Hajj Hassan concluded.
