Jumblatt Receives Palestinian Druze Delegation

Head of Progressive Socialist Party, MP Walid Jumblatt received a delegation of the Druze sect from the Palestinian territories, headed by Sheikh Aouni Hnaifis, who addressed Jumblatt saying, "We came from your wounded country, breaking the wall of six-decade isolation, in order to communicate with you in a national humanitarian project".

Hnaifis added that in the inside of Palestine, they have to communicate with the people of their nation, so they could defend their Arabic Druze sect, referring to the great deal of assaults the Druze sect witnessed in the occupied territories due to "Israeli" violations.

On his part, MP Jumblatt welcomed the delegation saying, "After long waiting, the dream of national, spiritual, patriotic, sectarian, heritage communication has come true".

He also saluted the Arab Druze for their efforts in occupied Palestine, urging them to continue their communication and interaction with the Nation's Druze in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.

MP Walid Jumblatt had previously communicated with the Druze sect in the occupied territories, praising their decision to resist and refuse the "Israeli" decision in recruiting all Palestinian Druze in the "Israeli" army forces.
