The head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt said Thursday that people should wait the press conference of Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and see what facts he has in former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri's assassination, asking why the possibility of "Israel" being behind the crime has not been posed yet, while the possibilities of Syria and Hizbullah doing it have.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Jumblatt revealed that his decision to shift his political position was carefully taken after the "bitter" May 7 experience. "Now, I am back to my popular roots and I have at least admitted to my mistakes," Jumblatt said.

Asked about who in Lebanon is speeding up strife in Lebanon, he replied: "Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea is one of the figures who is making unacceptable statements, and issuing them simultaneously with those of Israeli Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi is strange."

The Progressive Socialist Party leader also confirmed statements attributed to him by Lebanese daily As-Safir, saying that he didn't mention Geagea by name, but he urged that figure to halt charged statements by some members of the March 14 forces.
