Yoav Galant, new "Israeli" Chief of Staff, is the first navy commander to fill this position.
Galant apparently has a "rich" history when it came to crimes and operations, where he was the one who planned and directed the 2008-2009 operation cast lead or aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Galant's appointing came due to the "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak's recommendation to fill in Gabi Ashkenazi's position as the latter is to step away from his position.
After Barak's announcement, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the decision saying, "This is the correct choice, that will return stability to the army".
According to Ehud Barak, "Galant is an experienced officer with carried operational experience, leadership skills and the ability to lead the army in the challenges it and the State of "Israel" face".
Galant's official approval and assigning are expected to occur next week.
Gabi Ashkenazi has some ups and downs while he was in the Chief of Staff position, where some arguments and disagreements occurred between him and his government colleges.
Yoav Galant is being praised to be chosen as Ashkenazi's successor, wondering whether he would be part of escalating the internal "Israeli" corruption or not.
