Jewish groups worldwide organized a boat to set sail with aids to Gaza from Cyprus.
Irene, the boat sailing holding a British flag, is carrying Jewish activists from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, in addition to some "Israelis".
The cargo of the boat is mainly symbolic, where it includes children toys, textbooks and fishing nets for Gaza fishermen.
The Jewish boat to Gaza will be received by the Palestinian International Campaign to end the siege on Gaza.
According to the group's online website, Jewish ship's main goal is to deliver these symbolic aids to the population of the impoverished area, with as much nonviolence as possible, in addition o calling for the siege to be lifted, so more humanitarian aids and basic life needs would enter to Gaza.
Richard Kuper, an organizer in the Jewish Boat to Gaza group, and a member of Jews for Justice for Palestinians, said, "The Jewish Boat to Gaza is a symbolic act of protest against the "Israeli" occupation of the Palestinian territories and the siege of Gaza, and a message of solidarity to Palestinians and "Israelis" who seek peace and justice".
Concerning a possibility of any confrontation with the "Israeli" navy, Kuper said that the boat is strictly on a humanitarian nonviolent duty; therefore there will be no excuse for any "Israeli" military navy presence in the area or any assault.
"Israel" is famous for not keeping its promises, for after attacking the Freedom Flotilla Mavi Marmara ship in international waters, the "Israeli" troops announced that it would notify the Jewish boat's captain and warn him not to approach the Gazan borders or else it would raid.
Ynet reported that Captain Glynn Secker said, "We will not obey them, we will not help them", he also added, "But we will not confront them physically. We will engage in no violence".
