Sheikh Yazbek: STL is Credible if Not Politicized

Head of Hizbullah Juristic Council, His Eminence Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek confirmed that the truth starts to be reveals with the prosecution of false witnesses and those who fabricated and supported them.

During a funeral in Baalbek, Sheikh Yazbek praised President Suleiman's speech in the United Nations, saying, "This speech reflects all the Lebanese' expectations of liberating their land, which we have the right to liberate it in any means or way".

Head of Hizbullah Juristic Council added, "President Michel Suleiman also talked about the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), and the importance to be credible, for credibility is to stay away from politicization. The truth starts with prosecuting the false witnesses and who supported them".

Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek pointed out that Lebanese Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar was asked to present a report over this issue, and what is left is to reveal the truth to prevent further incitement.

Head of Hizbullah Juristic Council Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek said that prosecuting false witnesses should take place, adding that Hizbullah would not accept accusations against any of its members, because that would represent an assault against the Lebanese's dignity.
