Jumblatt to As-Safir: Nejad’s Visit Good and Useful, Clear Support of Resistance

Head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt assured that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to Lebanon is a clear support of the Resistance, describing his visit as "good and useful." 

Jumblatt added that it is useful to communicate with the Iranian President, and emphasize in his presence the importance of national unity and dialogue.

On another note, Jumblatt said that "internal doors are not shut" adding "and if I say that there are no positive signs so far, that does not mean that there are negative ones."

Commenting on the UN's recent remarks on the false witnesses, Jumblatt told As-Safir Saturday "This is a local issue, the details of which should be uncovered."

Jumblatt voiced his concern with the "frightening" tensions in Lebanon, calling all sides to be diligent in realizing its dangers.
