Sheikh Yazbek: Attempts to Distort Nejad’s Visit Failed

Head of the Juristic Board in Hizbullah Sheikh Mohamamd Yazbek said that the attempts of some local and international media outlets of disfiguring the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon have failed. He highlighted that Nejad's distorted image the media has been trying to imprint in people's minds has been proven wrong, as the world witnessed his modesty and honest and as he called upon the Lebanese to unite together.

During a memorial service, Sheikh Yazbeck also hailed the stance of Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmad Al Tayyeb on the latest fatwa (religious indict) issued by Imam Khamenie in which he prohibited assaulting any of the revered Sunni figures or the Prophet's wives.
He highlighted that there have been attempts of sowing discord and incitement among Muslims but have failed.
