Berri: They Do Not Dare To Ask for Weapons from Iran in Fear of US Rage
House Speaker Nabih Berri criticized the Executive authority for neglecting the Iranian offer to support and equip the Lebanese army, clarifying that if he were in charge of this authority, he would have asked the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about the help Tehran can offer to the Lebanese army.
Berri asked the Military establishment to inform Iran of its needs and study the prices, "In case the prices are good, we can buy arms without any preconditions," Berri stated.
In an interview with As-Safir newspaper, Berri pointed out that "There should be a positive shock that goes back over to the Taef accord, and there is no better way to cause such a shock than through the electoral law."
Berri highlighted that "This law is the key to correct implementation of the Taef accord," because it controls the results of decision makers.
