Hariri, Hizbullah Restore Contact in Bid to Preserve Peace
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Hizbullah SG Political Advisor Haj Hassan Khalil met on Tuesday afternoon. In a 90-minute meeting at Center House, the two sides tackled the latest developments.
On the same note, sources in Hizbullah leadership told As-Safir newspaper "Positive steps are in process, the first of which is contact with PM Saad Hariri in an attempt to solve issues and preserve peace."
Sources assured that "Hizbullah will maintain the positive atmosphere in dealing with the current situation in order to reach an outcome."
Moreover, sources reported there are two atmospheres in the country, the first aims at positive solutions to the situation based on the Syrian-Saudi agreement, while the other is a negative led by the US administration and is supported by some powers in Lebanon, which was portrayed in the visit of Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman.
