Sheikh Qabalan Calls EU to Pressure Enemy into Giving Palestinians’ Rights

Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, received Belgium's Former Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, where both sides discussed latest updates on the Lebanese and regional level, stressing on the importance of dialogue between religions.
Sheikh Qabalan welcomed Martens among his people in Lebanon, which is considered to be the country of coexistence and faithful dialogue between religions, especially in what it represents of different sects.
Sheikh Qabalan also confirmed that Islam is a religion of dialogue that condemns terrorism and every inhumane act. In this context, Sheikh Qabalan urged Europe to take a deeper look at the Islamic world, in addition to cooperation with its people for the bests of humanity.
Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council considered that the European Union should call for the dialogue of religions, and take part in achieving peace in Palestine through pressuring "Israel" to stop its settlements constructions.
Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan also stressed that "Israel" should give the Palestinians their rights, especially in establishing a Palestinian government, with Al Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital city.
On his part, Former Belgian Prime Minister clarified that he will be meeting with all religions and sects in Lebanon, adding that he is opened to the dialogue of religions, hoping for further cooperation and communication with Islam.
