Head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt announced that his last visit to Damascus was successful, adding that his meeting was part of a follow up to the Lebanese-Syrian-Saudi trilateral summit and the Syrian-Saudi summit, which played a role in enhancing the political-security Lebanese-Syrian coordination.

In his weekly stance to Al Anbaa newspaper, Jumblatt added that both sides agreed on the success of the Syrian-Saudi relations, in addition to ongoing their positive coordination, which would cause the enemy some damage.

Furthermore, MP Jumblatt referred that Lebanon should be aware of all threats surrounding it, especially in the course of deteriorating the Syrian-Saudi relations, which are now aiming at maintaining the Lebanese national unity and stability.

Head of the Democratic Gathering also stressed on the importance of maintaining the Lebanese calm situation, in addition to trying and avoid all incitements between the Lebanese people, so that Lebanon will not once more become the battle of violence.

Jumblatt further referred to the Palestinian issue, where he considered that the so-called "Israeli" Palestinian resolution is nonsense as long as the "Israeli" settlement constructions continue, along with their Judaizing policies.
