Official UNIFIL spokesperson, Andrea Tenenti, stressed that the issue of Al Ghajar village has been under examination for a long time, and "Israel" is obliged to withdraw from the northern part of the village without any further negotiations.

Tenenti said that this obligation is rolled in the implementation of resolution 1701.

In this context, UNIFIL spokesperson clarified that if "Israel" does not withdraw, then it would be violating the international resolution, adding that since the year 2008, the UNIFIL presented the initiative for the "Israeli" withdrawal, yet the latter showed readiness to negotiation and not implementation.

Andrea Tenenti added that the UN is fully concerned with this issue, in addition to working on resolution 1701 implementation, in order to restore trust in the region.
