Hizbullah International Relations Official former MP Ammar Moussawi said that "The French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner did not arrive to Lebanon with a new initiative," pointing out "Kouchner was frank when he said that there should be no worries as long as the indictment targets individuals."

Moussawi considered that Kouchner's words assure that the indictment was prepared in advance."
In an interview with New TV, Hizbullah official pointed out that "Kouchner tried to pass a message of consolidation and soothing to Hizbullah" noting that Kouchner's visit did not come in context of a new initiative, assuring it is rather an exploratory visit to closely observe the stances of the different sides, and maybe it is a visit that has other goals as well.

Moussawi further said "Hizbullah advised Kouchner that France should have its independent policy with Lebanon, a different one from that of the US," adding "I reiterated (to Kouchner) that in the light of such tension in the Lebanese arena, particularly concerning the STL, and in light of the ongoing complex atmosphere that dominates the Lebanese arena and that has turned it into a site for experiments, the outcome becomes unpredictable."

Moussawi had met Kouchner at the French embassy and discussed with him the latest developments at the local and regional scenes on Saturday.
