Shaaban: Lebanon’s Stability, Security Means Security and Stability of Syria

Adviser to the Syrian president Buthaina Shaaban assured that "Syria is concerned about the security and stability of Lebanon, because that would mean the security and stability of Syria."

Commenting on the statement of White House Spokesman, who said that Washington is not ready to let go its interests in Iraq and Lebanon, until Syria is impressed, Shaaban said this statement is proof that "All they want in Lebanon and Iraq is to serve their interests, regardless of the interests of the people in of region." 

"Syria is an important regional player, and the security of Iraq and Lebanon matters as it is related to Syria's security and stability. This while the United States is ten thousand kilometers away, and cannot claim it is affected by the instability in Iraq and Lebanon like Syria is."
