Qabalan Calls for National Unity
On the occasion of the Adha feast, Deputy leader of the Supreme Shiite Council Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan delivered a sermon Wednesday in which he expressed his sincere greetings to all Lebanese and Muslims in particular and highlighted the importance of inter-Arab meetings that took place, especially the Lebanese-Syrian consultations, the agreement between Syria and Saudi Arabia, and Iranian-Arab communication.
"Are we still able to accept and tolerate criticism?" wondered the Cleric, "Is it not time to end the sterile polemics and put our hands together in an effort to find solutions to our problems? We must all shoulder our responsibilities to Lebanon to confront obstacles and difficulties."
In conclusion, Sheikh Qabalan called for national unity and coexistence among all Lebanese.
