Local Editor
Lebanese President Michel Suleiman stressed on the importance of pursuing the exerted efforts to force "Israel" to implement resolution 1701, with keeping the Lebanese rights in liberating and regaining what's left of the occupied territories in all means possible.
President Suleiman believed that despite the Arabs' role in supporting Lebanon, the real responsibility lies on the Lebanese themselves, because the free national will is a condition for independence.
In this context, Lebanese President said that if abilities were recruited, the Lebanese people will be able to achieve their independence.
Furthermore, Suleiman added that such work requires maintaining national unity and getting rid of tensed stances, stressing that the Lebanese should not allow conflict to be driven into Lebanon.
In addition to that, President Michel Suleiman said marking the 67th year anniversary of the Lebanese Independence, that it's worthy to hold on to pursue the effort of forcing "Israel" into implementing resolution 1701, also looking forward to find a defense strategy.
President Michel Suleiman stressed that mutual understanding is a base for the system's stability, adding that the Lebanese constitution states no power is legitimate if it calls against coexistence.
