Qatar Prime Minister Arrives in Lebanon for a Surprise Visit

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabar Al Thani arrived in Beirut from Doha on a private airplane for a few-hours surprise visit to Lebanon.

The Qatari PM met Lebanese President Michel Suleiman for a short meeting, in which both sides discussed Lebanese President's visit to Qatar, where he will be inaugurating the Lebanese Embassy in Doha.

Both sides also discussed latest political updates, in addition to current talks in attempt to solve the Lebanese crisis.

Furthermore, Sheikh Hamad also met with Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri around 15:00 pm, followed by a 17:00 pm meeting with his Lebanese counterpart, Saad Hariri.

The Lebanese and Qatari sides discussed bilateral relations between both Arab countries, in addition to developments in the region.
