Minister Nahhas: There are Enough Proofs that ’’Israel’’ Breached Telecom. Sector

Minister of Telecommunication Charbel Nahhas revealed that taking part in the current government was under the title of separating the past and trying to present something new.

In an interview with Al Manar TV, Minister Nahhas clarified that he has not spoken of "Israeli" pressures, but of pressures practiced on all Lebanese parties, adding that what is happening today in Lebanon cannot be explained but as being sentenced to pressure.

Concerning the "Israeli" violations of the telecommunication sector, Minister Nahhas said that he adopted some measures to investigate and reveal what has been installed in the telecommunication networks.

Furthermore, Minister Nahhas referred that there are still some operations that they still have not conducted, like the monitoring and surveillance towers installed by "Israel" on the borders.

Minister Nahhas on this level, asked the International Telecommunication Union to take over this issue, in addition to some measures that should be adopted on the internal Lebanese level to manage the national immunity and violations.

Charbel Nahhas mentioned that there are proofs that "Israel" has breached the telecommunication system in Lebanon, and that means that it has adopted measures that monitor the data in the system.

From here Minister of Telecommunication affirmed that these data are used in many investigations, not only for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), but the breaches and their possible threats should be measured.
