Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc member Ali Fayyad said that "Lebanon should benefit from the generous Iranian offer for assistance especially in the fields of economy, development and energy."

Fayyad's comments came during in an interview with the National News Agency's correspondent in Nabatyeh.

Commenting on Prime Minister Saad Hariri's visit to Iran, the MP said that the visit to Tehran is of utmost importance on all levels, noting that Iran is willing to help Lebanon in all fields.

He stressed that Iran is also keen to see stability and peace prevail over all of Lebanon and has not interest in getting involved in the local affairs of the country.

Fayyad underlined that Iran did not offer any independent initiative to break the political deadlock in Lebanon.

"Iran has voiced its support to the Syrian-Saudi initiative which is aimed at defusing any tension in case the indictment is issued concerning the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri," the MP added.

But Fayyad admitted that this initiative lost some of its steam in the past few days although many factions are still pinning high hopes on it.

"As for the indictment which is expected to accuse some Hizbullah's members, we assure that the secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is the only when who will state the final opinion on this matter."
